• Mystic Pi upgrade

From nathanael@21:4/123 to All on Wed Dec 26 18:07:48 2018
This is my first upgrade. I've spent two weeks trying to get Mystic running
on my Pi and I don't want to mess anything up (yes, I've backed up).

The upgrade.txt file only has instructions for upgrading for Windows. What
    are the Pi instructions?

exactly the same just for linux instead

i ran the installer and installed mystic a40 into a directory in my home dir /home/pi/mystic40.

just ignore the .exe extensions and you have the linux names

i did shutdown mystic when I did this

take a copy of your mystic dir as a backup first before you do anything...

Same, except the binaries don't have .exe on the end of their names. I upgraded on my Pi without any issues.

... I will defend to your death my right to my opinion.

That was my first thought, but I didn't see any corresponding filenames. I missed the step where you install it and then fish the files out of there.

With the issue with A40, looks like my newbieness saved me. Now I can go straight to A41.

You will still need to add some files in text dir and data dir as per A40 instructs and also run the update executable to move to the new database
format for user records... but when you get your hands on the A41 files it's really just a case of copying over the main executable files (plus the ones
    in the scripts dir).
