• Reading Netmail - Pressing ESC

From Andy@21:3/128 to All on Sun Nov 22 20:28:04 2020
    Hi All.

Strange behavior while reading netmail and pressing ESC.

    Note: "Reading Message is mandatory.."

The message is afterwards not any more available in list.

    So what happened?

Yes, I did. The number of netmail matches the real number of netmail, but the the corresponding message is missing in the list.

e.g. with five netmail the list looks like 1,2,5.
    Two mails are missing.

Looks like the message was not addressed to you?

Mystic will never show a message, even to a sysop that is not addressed to you if it is a private message.

Ohhh, well the only other thing I can think to check is that the netmails that you don't see, are they addressed to you? If they're addressed to someone else you won't see them and if someone misspelled your name again you won't see them.

In the mutil ini files you have set up you can set redirects so if someone does

misspell your name/handle as long as you have that misspelling it will forward to your actual account, but it does require you knowing how they've misspelled it lol.

I think that is about all I can think of just now. If I think of anything else I'll let you know.

    Good luck.

I guess I explained that wrong.

I'm reading a netmail addressed to me and instead of clicking ENTER several times for stop reading netmail, I click ESC and afterwards the netmail is
    gone - possibly deleted.

Ohhhhh ok, well then I don't know the answer to that, the only thing I can think of is that your List ACS for your netmail base is not right.
Are you listing it in the message indexer or another way?

I will see if I can test this, but it might be worth upgrading to A47, I don't know what quirks A46 had and what A47 has fix of those.

It was listed and readable till I clicked ESC. Only afterwards it isn't available anymore - deleted I guess :/
    Neither itself nor listed somewhere.
