Was wondering if anyone know of a way to limit the file size of the individual Mystic node logs?

Not sure what is causing it, but occationally something goes nuts and my node #1 log grows to 40G and uses up all the disk space on the partition. Just wondering if there is some way to prevent it from getting that large.

    Thanks.

Hi Mark, I had that happen to me just the other day. Node one log was 60gb
and growing as i watched, had to shutdown mystic to stop it. never had that happen before. I wonder if it is an alpha46 issue, i upgraded just a few days ago.

As far as I know there is no setting for node log size. I run a batch to delete my log files during my weekly maint.

I am running the current version of Mystic and have 4 nodes up and running
and the combined log size is about 2 meg.

I do manage the MIS and POLL logs based on date.

Yes, as I see it only the MIS and POLL logs can be currently managed base
    on size or date.

I'm running an older version of Mystic 64 on Windows Server. I had that same problem and had to add a Delete *.log Maintenance Daily...

I mentioned it to g00r00 quite some time ago (before the latest release of Mystic)... He said there was no way to "Limit" the Logs but he was
considering adding that into the new version. I do not know if that was
    added or not.

I made a simple Batch file that is run on my Nightly Maintenance and I delete those Logs (I never look at them anyway).

At least it isn't just me. :) Thought it was some oddity with my setup. It has happened to me (3) times now over the past few months. Node1 log grows to the size of the partition like it is stuck in some loop that is writing to the log.

Next time it happens, will try and open the file somehow to see what is going on.

After the second time it happened to me, I did what you mentioned by adding a batch file to delete the logs each day. Still hit 40G file size again, so it must be something looping while writing to the log.

Will try and get more info next time.
