Hi there! it's time to setup Door Games on my BBS. It currently runs on Windows 10.

Could someone point me a good video or guide to read about it? I couldn't
finde anything about it in the Mystic Guy channel or the Mystic Wiki.

I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE ABOUT THIS MATTER. Where do you suggest I must start looking? Thanks in advance for any kind of help!

Hi there! it's time to setup Door Games on my BBS. It currently runs on Windows 10.

Your tear line says Win64 so I suppose you must be running a 64bit windows? You
can run any 32bit door on win64 although there aren't as many of those as there are those old and mostly great 16bit doors.

It used to be that there was an NTVDM built into windows (still is on 32bit windows) that you could use to run 16bit DOS apps.

Could someone point me a good video or guide to read about it? I couldn't finde anything about it in the Mystic Guy channel or the Mystic Wiki.

I don't know if there are any videos that cover door games.

Mike at pcmicro.com has been supporting BBS opertors for decades now in various
ways. I think netfoss might be an answer for you. It has recently included a 64bit version for win64 but I don't run windows so I have no experience with it. The 64bit version may be in beta now but worth looking into. You'll also need NTVDMx64 that the netfoss webpage talks about.

Hi there! it's time to setup Door Games on my BBS. It currently runs on Windows 10.

If it's 64 bit Windows 10, the simple answer is that you really can't in any sustainable fashion. I'd add a door game server connection like doorparty (hi maskreet!) or bbslink.

I'll have to respectfully disagree. The NetFoss64/NTVDMx64 combo works like
a champ. The only doors I've had problems with are those that don't support fossil drivers.

It's also a pretty gross hack IMO and one that will continually have issues down the road if you plan to keep your OS up to date, which you will probably want to do if you don't want your computer infected with the flavor of the
    week Windows 0-day.

At the beginning of many messages I am receiving, I am getting a number on
the very first line of message post. Are other people experiencing the same thing? I saw a note about this a month or so ago. Trying to nail it down as an issue on my end, or someone else's system sending me the messages.

It doesn't happen on all the messages, so it has been difficult to nail down whether it is my feed, or something on my end.

I don't see the "111" in the original message. It looks like an issue on your end, but who knows ... another explanation would be that Hub 4 added it to the exported mail for your node, but not to the mail for (some) others.
