Create a message area on both BBSs with a unique area tag, NX-TEST or
    whatever works for you.

I found a free zone 600 for me to use I would like to set 600:1/1 to
main host 1 and set 600:1/2 to test bbs

Set up the main host with the address 600:1/1 and an echomail node with
the connection info needed to connect.

Set up number 2 with the address 600:1/2 and an echomail node as 600:1/1
as above. It also needs connection info to connect.

can someone please guide me though the steps please

That's mainly it, if you have issues tell us what they are and we'll do
our best to get you moving in the right direction.

This is how I have done it, I used the zone 8888 I have my two boards linking echos that way. I network my local subs on both of my CNet AMiga board and my Mystic board. Follow along what Al has said and you should be good to go..

I run WinServer for my bbs wildcat. However, that is not an issue, if it was
I would be messaging WinServer. This is about my mail server and the
Winserver support send me info on what is happening (mail is not accepted.

    Here is my setup:
I have static ip's with Spectrum. Domain registrar is Jumpline.com and I use NO-IP to point to my servers. But when you do a nslookup -query=PTR 75.87.11.242 it shows "Non-authoritative answer: 246.11.87.75.in-addr.arpa
    name = rrcs-75-87-22-246.sw.biz.rr.com AND NOT RDFIG.NET or mail.rdfig.net

    I did go to NO-IP and enter: "v=spf1 ip4:75.87.11.246 ip4:75.87.11.242 -all
as was suggested by winserver support.

At jumpline.com I did enter the nameservers that NO-IP said to use.

Still not getting response to say rdfig.net or mail.rdfig.net which mx
    records are setup aT NO-IP

So I am not doing something right or I am missing something. Can anyone assist?

I just did "telnet rdfig.net 24554" and I saw your mailer answer.. I saw..

    SYS WWIV PRISON BBS
    ZYZ Ruben Figueroa
    VER networkb/5.4.0.2886 binkp/1.0

So I can see your WWIV mailer. Perhaps you have other mailers on other ports?

    NOT RDFIG.NET or mail.rdfig.net

nslookup is a little over my head but when I do "host rdfig.net" I get..

    rdfig.net has address 75.87.11.242
    rdfig.net mail is handled by 5 rdfig.net
    rdfig.net mail is handled by 10 mail.rdfig.net

Telneting to rdfig.net brings up a menu of various BBSs to connect to so it looks good to me.

You need to get your isp to setup "reverse dns" for your ip address.

The non-authoritative lines means you queried a DNS server that is not SOA for the domain. If you do an nslookup -q=SOA <yourdomain> and make your request
to one of these servers, the answer will be authoritative and that line won't show.

This happens when you use a server that acts as a forwarder.

    Hope that clarifies,

    Cheers
