• Remove users in Mystic

From lemonlime@21:4/162 to All on Fri Oct 4 14:34:00 2019
    Hi All,

Not sure if I'm just missing something simple, but how do you go about
removing a user in mystic? I created several test accounts when I was getting things setup and want to do some cleanup.

Does this have to be done via maintenance activity and mutil? or is there
some way to do it via the cfg section?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I go to the last page of the User edit function in the SysOp menu OR in
config and choose yes to deleted on their flags. During the user list packing in the automaint I run every night it will pack the user base and that user will be gone.. I know I am not explaining it right but that is the jist of
    it..

Instead it is - go to the user editor in mystic -cfg, find your user and
scroll down the the "flags" page. Turn the "Deleted" flag to yes.

If you want it to be perma-deleted, turn on the "PackUserBase" function in
your nightly maintenace .ini for MUTIL.

Yeah it is somewhat Poorly implemented :) Why not something like ctrl-^ for current user ? There is also no warning or documentation about what is going
to happen with the users msgs/files/uploads(stats) etc.....

It is also annoying that you cant scroll up from page 1/6 to 6/6 .....

I'm not going to lie - it took me awhile to figure that out, too. But it
works, I suppose. And - how often does one really delete a user, anyway?

For the record, you can push the page number in the User Editor to "jump" to that page, so you can just push "6".

Gave it a try, worked perfectly. I added the user base purge to the
    maintenance script as well.

    Thanks again.
