    Hey g00r00,

I just found an interesting bug... thought you might like to know about it to check it out.

    A43 02/03/2019 version...

Create a new node, make the PKT password 9+ characters and save the settings and then go back into the node settings, you get a massive amount of screen corruption and everything goes wobbly.

Also, if you have a session password/fix/pkt/etc password length > 8 it might not connect and work, just had this when setting up a new node on my BBS.

Thought you'd like to know about it, I can probably give you more info if you need it... just give me a shout.

I didn't think they were supposed to be more than 8+ characters anyway (by the FTN standards), but looks like a buffer overflow type issue there that needs to be fixed.

will try and repo this, thanks for that report

Fair to say that with some legacy 8.3 systems I have always tried to keep my passwords to a max of 8 chars and usually all uppercase too.

Thanks for letting me know. PKT passwords should be limited to 8 characters
or less (its a PKT limitation) and when I redid the editor a little bit back
I must have accidentally set it to 20. This in turn opened up a gravitation vortex somewhere in the galaxy causing interference in monitor signals that amounted to the distortion you saw on your screen.

    Its been fixed! Thanks :)
