• Message bases not created

When setting up Fidonet a few days ago, I AREAFIXed a list of available echos from my FidoNet feed, created a BACKBONE.NA-format list (429 entries) from it, imported that into Mystic and then %LINKed everything.

I've noticed, however, I have quite a few echoes which according to mutil logs are receiving traffic, however, there is no message base for them, despite the fact that there is an entry in BACKBONE.NA and auto-create is enabled. For example, from BACKBONE.NA:

    RBERRYPI Raspberry Pi International Discussion

And here's the log showing it receiving traffic:

    + Mar 05 19:53:15 Importing 5c7e5c1a.pkt (3:712/848 to 3:712/886)
    + Mar 05 19:53:15 Import #1 to RBERRYPI

But I still had to manually create the message base.

    What have I done wrong?

so it sounds like you created bases using the NA file?

The above line shows the base must be created as if it were not Mystic would log this as being created when message #1 was imported.

    Best, Paul

OK, ignore all this. I've had a closer look through my mutil logs, and cross- checked message base editor with what was showing in Mystic. Looks like the message base editor orders by echo tag name, while Mystic sorts by description, so it took a while to cross-reference everything. So all's well,
    I guess.

This means the base exists. Otherwise Mystic would complain here that the
base doesn't exist and then either auto-create it (when enabled) or just
skip. It wouldn't get to the echotag logging there if it didn't find a base.

I think you may need to have a little more coffee while you ponder.
