Google lets personal users stay on 'no-cost Legacy G Suite' with custom
    Gmail domain.

Back in April, Google delayed when G Suite legacy free-edition users had to start paying for Workspace. The company will now let you stay on a "Free Legacy Edition of G Suite for personal use" as the "no-cost" alternative in
    a rather notable policy change.

Head to your account's Google Admin Console before June 27 to pick a transition path & choose "Personal use: stay on no-cost Legacy G Suite":

If you transitioned to Google Workspace after January 19, 2022 and used G Suite legacy free edition for personal use, you can contact support to switch back:

I lost my account 10 years ago, when Google offered a 30-day trial of
their paid service. fskcers didn't make a way to revert back to the
free account at the end of the trial.

When I got the notice they were ending the free legacy account, I switched to the business plan with $0 for several months. Now, they won't let me go back to the personal legacy one they're now offering.

I cancelled entirely. I've had enough of Google, not just for this reason. I've got one very old gmail address I wish I could move to another server. I'm going to unwind that over the next year and I'll be free of this miserable company.

What a terrible way they've evolved over time.

I've used Google at home for years, like the integration into Android,
    but, yeah.

    I have a discounted Microsoft365 account ($69/year for 5 accounts, 1tb
storage each, and Office 365 - what I didn't realize is that it also
includes full Outlook support. That ends up being seriously cheaper
than Google's plans, and as I'm a serious Outlook user at work it's
    tempting to make the switch.

I have a standalone MSOffice from 2007. I use Outlook, Access
and Excel a lot! Works just fine.
