My $139 Walmart propane grill has served me well for the past 11 years, despite not having any sort of warranty has lasted with a minimum of replacement parts over the whole time.
My new grill arrives tomorrow. Free assembly and installation.

My $70 charcoal grill is around 11 years old now. It's starting to be
pretty rusted out, but I fix it with alum foil. lol The propane one
is only 2 years old and I spent around $170 on that one. If I lived
in the woods full time I would get myself a really good one for year
round usage.

My gas grill was a few hundred $. It's got 5 burners plus a side
burner. Not only do I grill on it, but I do beer can chicken, which is some of the most tender chicken I've ever tasted, and I have a griddle
to put on it so I can cook hibachi style. I like how versatile it is,
and I don't have to keep stoking it with charcoal.
I completed a home improvement project on Friday, and called a local hauler to haul away the debris. I took the opportunity to clear out a bunch of junk I hadn't gotten around to disposing of as well, and one more thing ---
My barbecue.

It was starting to rust out after so many years in the elements, and it was time for it to go.
I shed a tear as the truck drove down the street, and just to add insult to injury, he had to drive to the end of the cul-de-sac and drive past a second time.

Here in Spain we use wood and coal grills. Propane grills are boring
for us. Bonus points because they don't require such a thing as an installation and you can move them around as much as you like. You can cook burgers for 6 people in one go with a small portable coal grill.

Before I had kids, I had a Weber charcoal grill and I loved it. I
found a brand of mesquite charcoal I really liked, and loved the
flavor the charcoal of meat cooked over mesquite.
Got sick of the mess, though.

Like I said, if I could BBQ more then once a week for 5 months a year
I would invest more in my equipment.
