    I'm surprised. This was the first mod I installed. I disable to time on my BBS because of this thing to encourage people to come on and chat. If you want to check it out come over and see what it looks like. Noverdu.com standard ports. Every Friday at 20:00 NZ time I believe they have a sysop meetup about 20 - 30 sysops get on from around the world and chat it up. Its a pretty good time.

    The MeaTup is at 2000 UTC on Fridays on MRC. Lots of BBSes are connected to MRC such as TQW, 20ForBeers, and Absinthe.

    What is it:
    MRC is an interbbs chat room, a little like IRC but just for BBSes.

    Where is it:
    There are currently 124 BBSes connected to the main MRC server, of which mine is just one.

    How to get in on it:
    Log into a BBS that is connected to it, example my BBS, then use the option for MRC or InterBBS Chat. On my BBS, at the main menu, just press "I" to connect to it and start chatting.

    As far as I know, it's native to Mystic, but eChicken wrote a MRC client for Synchronet.

    Its written in Python 2. There is a back-end that connects to the chat service and a front end that connects to the back-end. Pretty sure the front end is in MPL, but I have been on other boards that use the same back end that are not Mystic. Even on Absinthe which is an Amiga operated board it works. So there must be other front-ends out there. If you want to check it out Noverdu.com standard ports. I have 50 nodes so I do not restrict people on time. Want to connect to the chat and hang out for hours. There it is.

    It was originally made for Mystic BBS, then other BBSes had versions of it. Enigma 1/2, Cnet, Synchronet, to name a few... I think there might be others too.
