  • April Fool Day RFC

    I was reading Wikipedia's article "April Fools Day RFC" (Request For Comments).

    RFC 1925, item (3) caused me to burst out laughing my head off.

    Another one, RFC 8140 about ASCII was really good too.
    That might be the one that item(3) applies to.

    It is in one or the other RFC.

    It mentions Pigs flying.

    April 1, 2024 is coming soon.

    I saw that, it may have been in the Wikipedia April 1 RFC list on 2 or more lines in that page.
    Long time ago I read about the Avian(sp?) experiment.

    I think Wikipedia is where I read about it

    I like the part in RFC 8140 section 2.2 about:

    Many things in the IETF rely on majick. Without pixie dust or other
    artful contributions from the world of faerie, it is unlikely that
    the Internet would work at all.

    Also RFC 8962 section 6:

    Send all your reports of possible violations and all tips about
    wrongdoing to /dev/null. The Protocol Police are listening and will
    take care of it.
