I ran WWIV at age 15 in 1995.

:) I had set up WWIV on my first PC soon after I got it in 1992 (I was 12) but I didn't put it online as we didn't have a separate phone line yet.. We ended up getting a second phone line for my PC in 1994, and I decided to take the most advantage of it by setting up a BBS at that time (I was 14). I decided to use RemoteAccess.

    Awesome!

Started with original Fido in '84 switching to OPUS about the end of '85/beginning of '86, myself.

Was absolutely fascinated in the use of non-realtime packet switchstream (store and forward using dark (unused) connectivity) to send and get messages from stateside to wherever I was overseas.

Ponder, first thing I ran was probably remote access somewhere about 1990, maybe 91 at age 20-21. Had to get my own phone line...

If this is a WWIV party then I guess I am out. :)

I ran GT Power at ~18 in 1988. I am still running it on another system.
I tried a system called Colossus before GT, but could not get it to answer
the phone properly. There were many GT systems in my area at the time so
it was easy to get help.

If I had convinced my parents to get an Atari 1030, I'd probably have run an AMIS or other Atari 8-bit BBS around that time (1985) too.

p.s. I had to get my parents cooperation to buy stuff from overseas because Atari computer hardware was not readily available here in the Philippines at the time.
