t been getting the same love the lastseveral months as u
sual.. why?That's a good question. Lack of motiva
tion is the primary reason. It doeseverything I want my
BBS to do.Why a new version? Most people download
master to start with. Master wasan old version of v0.10
, outdated and unstable. Some upgraded tov0.10-patch, wh
ich was mostly stable, but it was recommended to update to
v0.11-alpha which was the development version. Might as well make it
easier on everyone and have v0.12 which is master.So,
what's to come? First things first, the migration of docs. to wiki.
it makes more sense for a rolling release to have rolling documentation.
Finish QWK networking.. I started it ages ago, and should finish
it.What about WWIVnet? Magicka originally supported WWIV
net and it would benice to do so again. Then all major s
till exisiting networks would besupported. Who else does
this??Move back to github??? maybe. The sky didn
't fall in.. yet. The currentrepo works, but isn't ideal
in supporting collaboration.LUA support in the w
ebserver... yeah it's just a dream at this stage.
Do I port to windows? I have the knowlege now thanks to MagiTerm, but
...why? Seems most people are using raspberry pis these
days anyway..Motivation... that's the key. Tiny's
Slice 'o Pi, Possum Lodge South,LiquidDreamz, are using
it.. perhaps it's time to do a roll call, and workout a
way to get connected and collaborate.. there is always FSX_BBS.
there is HappyNetX (but only possumlodge is connected) Do we need
something more immediate (IRC?, centralized MagiChat?)
What do others think? Everyone is able to contribute, be it code, documentation, supporting others, encouragement, anything really.

Sorry, while I can read ANSI here, I can't easily reply to ANSI messages - having to go online to do it is not going to work for me, too much messing around, which I will forget to do!

If Magicka would support WWIV natively, that would be enough for me to add it to my Pi. :) I love a lot of the feature set, and it looks like it would fit well with my other systems here. As for HappyNetX, I looked at the add-on for Mystic, but I couldn't understand the instructions to make it work, there was a lot that seemed to be left to assumption, which I can't work with. :( I may have also had compilation issues, can't recall now. It's been a while since I made the attempt.

I guess I'm having a similar motivational issue to play. My current BBS environment is comfortable, and life has been rather hectic lately.
