• Runtime error 216 when './mutil import'

From syrinxcultist@21:1/126 to All on Sat Nov 11 06:55:42 2017
Looking for some friendly advice.. I'm new to Mystic BBS and echomail.

I had everything working great on a windowsBox but I moved it all to a new Debian setup on a different computer. Now I can't import echomail :(

I always have to run './fidopoll killall busy' and after I try to import messages with mutil I get a runtime error:

    ###

    Importing EchoMail Importing 8ca21428.pkt [etc]

    Execution of 1 processes complete
    Runtime error 216 at $000000000040A330
    $000000000040A330

there's multiple packets to import but it stops after that one. i tried skipping that packet by adding .bad to the filename but it just does the same thing with the next packet.

...so sad, no echomail right now...

Can you send the packet to me at mysticbbs@gmail.com?

    What version are you using?

No one else has reported any issues, so I wonder if you just have corrupted files or security issues

When I first switched over to Linux from Windoze, I had this happen a few times. It turned out the packets were corrupt.

Instead of just renaming them, try removing them all from the inbound directory, and processing them one at a time. This will tell you which one is corrupted.

At least that's what happened in my case... Hope this helps.

Doh... I should have read all of the messages before replying. At least we
were on the same track for the probable cause. :)
