• Endless fidopoll

I just ran in to one of the catch 22's, can't kill the fidopoll endless
loop no matter what I do. It had mystic taking 100% of CPU:

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND

    23800 pi 20 0 12500 6308 1556 R 100.0 0.8 17318:11 mystic
    1381 pi 20 0 103916 21916 9088 S 1.0 2.9 293:58.87 lxpanel 29268 pi 20 0 5108 2508 2104 R 1.0 0.3 0:00.24 top

Tried everything I could think of to kill the fidopoll task, but it just respawns (with new PID). Finally did:

    sudo killall mis mis2 fidopoll
    sudo reboot

to clear it restarting from scratch (should autoboot from rc.local).
There was no way out of the fidopoll endless loop taking 100% of CPU time. After the reboot I wrote this so I'll see if it goes out. The Mystic Pi Says got caught in the endless fidopoll this morning at 2am and was still there
when I rebooted (that's how I noticed the issue). That's on a Pi3, it will
take all the time it can no matter what speed the system is ;(
