    Here is what he means:

    domain fidonet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 1
    domain fsxnet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 21
    domain scinet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 77
    domain gtpower E:\\FIDO\\OUT 276
    domain ilink E:\\FIDO\\OUT 454
    domain micronet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 618

Notice that they all are pointed to E:\FIDO\OUT. Your path should be
whatever your Zone 1 default path is.

I have it working fine here. Pretty easy to set up if you have set up
binkd on a *nix or other machine before.

Will be making the change before I hit the sack in just a few minutes. Thank you so much for showing me where I needed to be.

Have never set it up. 30 years ago...was running FD/Squish/TG/RG...but had a friend of mine help me set it up. If I had to recreate it today to save my life...I'd be a goner. ;)

Again...thank you for all your help.

    Here is what he means:
    domain fidonet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 1
    domain fsxnet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 21
    domain scinet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 77
    domain gtpower E:\\FIDO\\OUT 276

So I dont know if there are different BINKDs?

For my binkd, the number at the end of the domain statement is not intended to mean the zone number of the domain, but rather the zone number of the outbound directory. So in my case, they are all the same number.

This way binkd knows that everything in e:\fido\out is "zone 1", and thus something for zone 21 would be e:\fido\out.015

IE: Each of my domain statements has exactly the same number at the end (and in

my case they are all 10, since I run a private ftn network of zone 10 as my primary network).

Hub 3 is configured this way - and it is routing 7 or so other networks for me.

Its interesting (and confusing) at the same time, if the above configuration works for you :)

Not quite. When I ran 4D back in the 90s, all my Binkley domain statements had the same path AND the same default zone, which for your configuration above would be 1. So it should look like this:

    domain fidonet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 1
    domain fsxnet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 1
    domain scinet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 1
    domain gtpower E:\\FIDO\\OUT 1
    domain ilink E:\\FIDO\\OUT 1
    domain micronet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 1

You are the second person to point that out. I am wondering if it makes a difference as it appears to be picking up mail wherever SQUISH is putting
it, and BinkleyTerm also appears to be working right alongside it.

I will do some checking to make sure I am right about that, but it sure
appears to be working as expected.

Hmm, interesting. The above is how my old 4D setup worked. I run 5D at the mailer now.

    Ahh, OK. :)

I have confirmed that the above setup will cause binkd for OS/2, compiled on 4/29/20, to crash upon requesting that it "dial out" to a scinet node.

OTOH, if I have the setup like this:

    domain fidonet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 1
    domain fsxnet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 21
    domain scinet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 77
    domain gtpower E:\\FIDO\\OUT 276
    domain ilink E:\\FIDO\\OUT 454
    domain micronet E:\\FIDO\\OUT 618

It not only does not crash upon the same request, but it finds the packets
that squish created, makes the callout, and exchanges mail with the scinet system in question. Also, the scinet packet that showed up in the display in BinkleyTerm on the same machine has now disappeared. So, they are both pointing to the same directories.

Interesting, well if it works. Not the result I expected, but who am I to argue? :)
