I doubt it. There were several incompatible Type 3 packet proposals, none of which caught on. Type 2+ packets are by far the most used in today's FTN networks. BTW, drop into the FTSC echo and take a look at the draft of FSP-1042 that Mark Lewis and I have been working on. It details the differences between Type 2, Type 2+, and Type 2.2 packets.

Happen to have a link where I can read/download these proposals out of FidoNet (I'm not subbed anywhere). I did some searching but came up
empty handed.
All published FTSC documents are available on the FTSC website (http://ftsc.org/docs/) or via download from my BBS (telnet://phoenix.bnbbbs.net:2323)
FSP-1042 is being reviewed now, and should be published as a standard or in the FTSC reference library shortly.
Thanks, I'm aware of the official location but didn't see it there. I'm interested in FSP-1042 so I'll keep refreshing I guess hehe.
