The thing I do not like about the C++ version is that you can not easily plug in the older
modifications into the new code set. I run 5.X WWIV and Winserver is my public system.
Has anyone ever ran WWIV/Windows on Linux/WINE? I know they have a Linux version of WWIV, but there are things that don't work right YET. I love WWIV and don't wanna change, so I figure, I could run the more stable Windows version (since there isn't a DOS version of WWIV(?))

I think there are OLDER versions of WWIV that just about have to run
under DOS. When I was first logging onto them, I don't think there
were packages that only ran under Windows 3.1 that were as popular. :)

Well it is still in development so maybe you can talk them into putting them back? :)
