• xAnsiViewer - ANSI viewer for Linux...

From xqtr@21:1/111 to All on Sat Dec 8 22:57:42 2018
I made a simple ANSI viewer app, basically for using it in Linux machines.
The app is not 100% complete, but sure is usable. I would like any comments about the UI, or any bugs found to fix them before releasing the final version.

The app will be open source and the code will be released in Github, at:
    http://github.com/xqtr/xAnsiViewer.

A beta version compiled for Linux/x64 systems, is available for download.

Its made with Lazarus/Freepascal, so it can be cross compiled to all systems, like Windows, Mac, Linux, RPi. I didn't use any "weird" code and only native controls to be sure that the app will be cross compile compatible.

For now, it supports ANSI/ASCII files, with SAUCE info, up to 160chars width and also images like GIF, PNG, JPG, TIF and more. Any help to also include reading of x/bin file will be much appreciated :)

You might get more/earlier feedback if you put the current source code up.

Source code added. Also i added a Linux 32b binary, for anyone who doesn't have or want to get Lazarus installed.

I have the original document for the xbin format. My problem is how to implement that in code, specially the pallete and font stuff. :)
