From Kirkman@21:2/136 to All on Wed Apr 20 22:51:40 2016
    Hi guys,

Over the last few weeks I've been puttering around with making an HTML5 ATASCII
    animation viewer.

It's meant to be a modern replacement for this old website called the "Break Movie Warehouse" which used a now-defunct Java applet to play old Atari 8-bit ATASCII animations.

I'm not finished with it yet, but it's reached a point where it plays a lot of the movies pretty well. I'd like to invite you to check it out and tell me what
    you think:

    http://breakintochat.com/collections/atascii/index.html

I know there aren't a lot of Atari 8-bitters here, but just in case ... I'm looking for collections of ATASCII animations. If you have any on disk or whatever, please give me a holler.

    Thanks, Ed!

I don't carry Fidonet on my own BBS, so I'll have to login somewhere else to check the echo.

I've got to say I'm pretty impressed. Definitely brings back some memories
of stuff that I was doing with my 130xe back in the day.
I actually have some animations that I'd like to get to you, but I have no idea when I'll next be able to get ahold of them. They're on 5.25 180k floppies about 1500 miles away from me right now. Hopefully I can get them back at some point within the next couple of years here...

Thanks! I'm happy it's working now. Just want to improve the rendering more and
beef up my collection of animations.

This is really cool. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to have to dig into your github and see how you're doing this.

Maybe you can expand it to support ANSI animations?

Where is this CBM echo? Is that on FIDO?

No, I think I'm going to keep it ATASCII only.

There are already some great JS libraries for displaying ANSI and ANSI animations, such as AnsiLove.js.

Thanks, Michael. I've made a bunch of improvements recently, including a rudimentary speed control.
