  • GD Latest Version Bug?

    the Reset and started a new game, I went to play for the first time and it tells me I am out of turns for today....

    Also checked the .ini and found it had turns set to 0.. Don't know why...

    It's all good now.

    I loaded the latest Galactic Dynasty (I like the new Intro Sequence).
    After the Reset and started a new game, I went to play for the first
    time and it tells me I am out of turns for today....

    It looks to me like I missed a bit on the windows version to include the
    turns in protection / turns per day in the reset packet that gets sent
    out.

    What I believe has happened is Agency HUB runs on Windows (I assume) and
    as you received the reset packet, it zeroed out your galactic.ini turns
    per day etc.

    Also, I *suspect* this mismatch with the turns per day and turns in
    protection are causing Agency and Another F-ing BBS to not be showing on
    Castle Rock and Exotica.

    So, if everyone could please double check their galactic.ini has these settings:

    Turns in Protection = 60

    Turns per Day = 20

    Also, double check the GameID in BBS.CFG is set to two.

    If any of those settings don't match please fix them and issue a
    ./reset.sh (or reset.bat)

    Is it possible that it didn't affect my system, as I updated after Paul had sent out the reset?

    Checked and yes it had, fixed now :) Just heading off to work.

    Also, double check the GameID in BBS.CFG is set to two.

    Yep this had worked... and I see 2 in the Agency BBS.CFG :)

    I just installed the new version, did the reset, updated the bbs.cfg and get this on the screen when performing
    the maintenance. The log file only contains:

    14:36:37 Parsed 0 inbound messages; Forwarded 0 messages


    Game id 2 does not equal packet game id 1 (or is 0)

    Game id 2 does not equal packet game id 1 (or is 0)

    My guess is it's old packets from games still on game id 1

    Hello Apam,

    I got the same. S I switched the game id to 2. And now I can see the interbbs scores withing three of us. But somehow the daily mail of Scores doesn't show us all.

    So I guess it's possibly time to another reset.

    I get my score locally, but it does not show anyone else...
