Check to see if the program is creating the 'mtafile.rpt' file, in your
Mystic directory. If it is, there is probably something with the command to combine that to your header file.

I'm also almost ready for a new release of the program. Probably within the next day or so, I should have it compiled for both Linux and Windows. There have been many changes and additions made to it. You may want to upgrade. I think you'll like it... :)

Let me know if the program is creating the matfile.rpt file. If not, there
may be something I'll need to look into.

    Thanks,

Yes it does create a mtafile.rpt and after doing a step by step I am
thinking it's not the mtafile that's the problem, either it's my computer
or a problem with mystic itself is the mutil it self after I run the batch
file for mtafile it create's a echomail.out but not a packet ie
    mutil.log

Okay cool, looking forward to that then.

That is strange. It looks like it can't find the file to post, hence the
'File not found', but then states it posted 1 message... Mutil even exits
with a 0 errorcode, which means a normal exit...

Let me try to see if I can duplicate it on the Windows system here...

Could you post what you are using for your batch file? It might help to
    figure out what is happening.

Thanks for posting your batch file. The only thing that I'm not sure about is in the following line...

    if exist mtafile.rpt copy header.txt+mtafile.rpt+footer.txt* final.txt

I'm not sure why there would be an '*' after the 'footer.txt'. What you could do, is try removing that '*', and see what happens. It shouldn't make a difference, but maybe it's causing the OS to look for something like: footer.txt1 or something...

    Hi Ian,

I noticed that you are now running the newest version. How is that working
for you? I added the functionality to combine the header and footer within
the program. Hopefully that will help with any problems you were having.

As per E-Mail reply, I installed the one you sent me, but had no files since
I installed it, the one posting you seen,I ran mutil mailout.ini to post it out but will let you now when I get same files to process and thank you for you help
and work you are doing on mtafile.

Do I still have this command in my batch file

    if exist mtafile.rpt copy header.txt+mtafile.rpt+footer.txt final.txt

I just sent you a new version of the Windows build. I found a slight issue
with checking if the mtafile.rpt file exists. It's been fixed in the one I
    just sent via email.

    thank you for you help
and work you are doing on mtafile.

You're welcome. It's my way of giving at least a little bit back to the BBS community. :)

Do I still have this command in my batch file

    if exist mtafile.rpt copy header.txt+mtafile.rpt+footer.txt final.txt

Nope. You can remove this from your batch file. The program will now do this for you. Just don't change the names of the header.txt or footer.txt files,
and make sure they are in your Mystic directory.

It will still make the mtafile.rpt file for you. I've left that in place for now. It will be removed when the program is run again, along with the
    final.txt file.

If you have any suggestions for the program, let me know. The one thing that
I would like to do, is be able to group the listings by file echo. That's
still a work in progress... :)
