• 3rd Party telnet server to Magicka

From GeekDoctor@21:1/130.4 to apam on Thu Mar 22 17:41:18 2018
Quick question for you regarding Magicka. I've scoured the docs looking
for the infromation, but coming up short.

can you use Magicka with a 3rd Party Telnet server? I'm not seeing any
way to pass information like node number, Socket number, IP address, etc
over to the BBS, which makes it seem like it's not setup to be able to
pass from a 3rd party server.

Can it be passed to from a 3rd party server?

Side note: This may come up as a double post. I'm not sure yet. It's
been 24 hours now since I originally posted that on The New Frontier ][,
but it seems to have never left our board, so posting from Tiny's
    instead.

Okay, thanks. We're just setting up a multi-board front end that we'll hopefully have done soon. The premise behind it is to be able to run all software packages from a single port. So far, we have Mystic and
Searchlight functionally working with the hand over, but the only way
we've been able to get Magicka to work is to use the local ip address and telnet over to that from the front end.

It's not a huge issue. The only down side of doing it that way is if the
local 192.168.x.x ip address changes for any reason, which is why I was
looking for a way to hand over to Magicka without re-telneting over to
    it.

Once the BBS gets over to it's own box instead of on a laptop it won't be
as big of an issue, but might be something to consider in the future.

I thought we had this sorted the last time you helped. I'll talk to
Chuck. I'm not sure he knows about it yet. I know there was a crash and restored from backup, but not sure if that backup was before or after you
spent hours fixing it. I'll see what Chuck says. He'll probably hit you
up on facebook if that is the case.

OK all good... hopefully its not much required to be done :)
