I'm connected to bbs.valhallabbs.com:2002. You don't have to set up an account, just configure your outbound telnet connection to his server.

What protocol are you using? If I try telnet, I get an error message
"Failed to detect protocol. Expected RLogin." However, if I try RLogin, I
get nothing except an eventual time-out.

Its Rlogin. Make sure your passing a username when connecting. If you can't get it to work, call his bbs on port 23 and I'm sure he can help. He runs synchronet as well.

I am looking to add a connection to a Tradewars server as one of my doors
on my Synchronet system. I assume that I need to set up an account with the
TW server for my BBS, then I just point a telegate external program entry towards that server?

Also, does anyone have any reliable TW servers they'd recommend?
