I've found a couple of Telix 3.51 registration codes
online but I'm not sure how to enter them. There
doesn't seem to be a place in the program to enter the
code. Is there a secret command line switch or perhaps
another executable not included with the shareware
release?
Somewhat related - does anyone know the differences between the later versions of Telix for DOS? The version numbers that I think I remember are 3.15, 3.21, 3.22, 3.51. I don't recall noticing differences, but I wonder i there are bugfixes behind the scenes.

I'll backup the 3.51 TELIX.EXE and try BRANDTLX on it & let you know what happens, but I'm not expecting it to work.
I'd expect BRANDTLX to be for a specific version of Telix, I don't have the 3.51 version here. Telix 3.22 and the registration patch

If I read correctly, it reads "514681-21708".
In 3.51 you can press ALT-5 to bring up a top menu bar
that you can use either the keyboard or mouse to
navigate. I also noticed in 3.51 there are lightbars
when editing the dialing directory and more options
available in the ALT-Z menu, so there are certainly
extra features available, not totally sure about bugfixes.

Like you say, any name can be entered, as long as it's
at least 5 characters long.

I guess one would have to use some serial-to-WiFi adapter like a WiModem232 Pro or something similar to connect it to the Internet. =)

Use NetSerial. I don't know if Rob's SVDM would work for this, but I don't see why not.
In Telix you can type atdt bbs.agency.nz and it'll dial right out.I wonder if I could get emtec's ZOC terminal do accept the atdt commands but ya, that does bring back a lot of memories :)
