Hmmm, what's wrong with Mozilla Firefox for OS/2? Or Opera for OS/2?

I'm sure for 'future proofing' reasons that they have decided to go
    with a WebKit-based browser.

Their folly now is that ArcaOS is still 32-bit with a 4 gigabyte RAM limitation. At the very least they allow you to address the unusable
space as a RAM drive. ;-D

Firefox is made with the Rust compiler since a certain FF version. To
continue offering Firefox for OS/2, you'd need to port the Rust compiler to
OS/2 also. Unfortunately it's got that many dependencies, that nobody could
ever keep the compiler up 2 date.... rather than Firefox.

That's why Firefox is no longer being ported to OS/2.
