• DEFAULT TAGLINE

From Daryl Stout@1:19/33 to ALL on Thu Jun 6 08:55:00 2019
Is it wise to just set up a DEFAULT Origin Line or a Tagline, instead
of one for every single FTN or QWK Network??

One of my networks (FTN or QWK, and I can't find which one), is still
sending out origin lines with the OLD BBS domain.

if i use one, i'll use one default because

One of my networks (FTN or QWK, and I can't find which one), is still sending out origin lines with the OLD BBS domain.

    of exactly this reason...

if there was a way to list the settings to a text file (or even stdout), you could find it pretty quickly (with grep)...

I just use a system wide default (for both FTN and QWK origin lines). Haven't needed to do a message group or area specific one yet.

I always use the defalt, except on Ilink, which requires that the network
name be in the origin line. All the rest should now be the same (although
I think you do have to set one each up for FTN and QWK networks... they
    don't use the same one).

Good...I didn't want to rebuild all of the message databases.

OK, I hope it works. One of my QWK Networking networks keeps showing
the old address. So, I zapped the origin lines for each one, told SCFG
to clone those entries (to wipe out the origin line), then set up the
default one for both FTN and QWK networks.
