For ANSI menus, and screens: I have to convert the acs to ans, download the ans, use PabloDraw, or TheDraw to edit these, upload the ansi, then reconvert to asc. Is there a way to make this easier? I am thinking adoor
based ANSI editor, with a few scripts to convert and move these files where needed. Does anyone currently do something like this?
For changes in System Config: Change a file area, add a message base, add a door... These do not take effect unless I recycle the board. Any way around this?
Good afternoon,the
I currently have Synchronet running via linux, and hosted remotely. Everything works as expected. I am able to log in, and make any changes necessary, recycle, and everything works... BUT....

Are you able to remote desktop to the machine? If you can, that would make the process easier. Alternately, I remember there being a remote shelldoor
that I think was included with Synchronet, or in the CVS, though I don't remember offhand what it was called. Something like that could give you remote shell access via Synchronet. But at the same time, could you SSH into your remote Linux machine hosting your BBS?
files... although I suppose nano\vi would work as doors.. although I have not tried these.

I have full access to the machine via SSH... I can get everything on
and working properly. But I can not help but think there is an wasier way. An ANSI editor/viewer via a door... and a few scripts to change the ANS files to ASC. Something to help me avoid doing all the work locally, then having to transfer it over, then convert it, and move it into the proper directories.
A long form door text editor would be good as well, so I can edit baja src files... although I suppose nano\vi would work as doors.. although I have not tried these.
Has anyone done anything interesting in this area? It's not really customization... it's more like streamlining...
