All,

I've setup my BBS to accept filebone(s), and I finally noticed that it's not importing anything to the right folder. I had like over 100 files in my ../SBBS/echomail/secure folder. I setup a 'timed' event like it says on the wiki. I set it up just as it says.

This is how my tickit.ini looks:

Dir=FSX_INFO
Path=/var/opt/files/FSXNet/FSX_INFO links=21:2/100,21:2/105.1,21:2/105.11,21:2/105.11
(I'm also trying to foward to 3 of my points)

This is the file section in SCFG:

Long Name: FSXNet: Information
Short Name: FSX_INFO
Internal Code: FSXNET_FSX_INFO

Transfer File Path: /var/opt/files/FSXNet/FSX_INFO

You cannot use both "Dir" and "Path" for a file area. One or the
other.

Sounds to me like you want the "Dir" option only.

Yeah I missed that when I read it the first time (reading with one tired eye!) now I'm having a problem with tickitcfg.js booting with a error 1.. I have some
ideas why. gonna work on that this week

You can just edit tickit.ini by hand, it's actually quite a simple
file.

yes you certainly can... that's how i managed mine until i did some work on tickitcfg.js...

The configurator (tickitcfg.js) is not really needed.

true again but it does make it easier... especially since it can import the files areas data and then you can use that to further configure the tic processing of the different files areas...

That's what I did, but I'm missing something in the cfg file that's making it not work. I'm gonna play around with it this weekend

I guess I never told you about that, quite a while back when I was
having other tickit issues that we were working on... Tickitcfg
would often just crash/exit and not save the changes I had made.
This was on the Windoze version and I just edited the .ini
manually, largely because I had enough other problems which were
more important at the time. Pretty sure that was all before you
made the extensive changes to tickit.js (and tickitcfg.js).

ahh, yes... i do remember you were having problems with them on winwhatever... ok...

according to the CVS logs, the last update(s) to tickitcfg.js were on 2019 Jan 30 by rob... v1.15 is the latest that i'm aware of...

as of now, I'm having the same issues with it exiting with error code

i didn't add/modify the capability but there is something... it looks like you can do this...

jsexec tickitcfg.js import=foo

where "foo" is a file library name...

i don't recall doing this on my setup but i do have some 300+ areas in my tickit.ini file... i may have ""imported"" them manually with a few macros but i really do not recall... the key was to get the area names in brackets and the "Dir=" with the library/area name... from there, since i was doing everything manually, i added my main uplink with the "Links" line... since there is not yet an areafix type capability for tickit, i have to manually add/remove systems that want FDNs or not...

I forgot, I restored my BBS from a backup, I just upgraded everything and recompiled.

I just edited it manually, and got it working!
