• Incoming IP transmissions

    From Raymond Douglass@1:103/705 to All on Wed Apr 13 12:59:54 2022
    Does Synchronet record the incoming IP addresses by themself in a log? I'm asking because I would like to be able to take a count of how many incoming transmissions I receive from each IP address, but the logs I found on the control panel carry more info than just the IP addresses which makes it tricky to sort out what I need quickly.

    Thanks.

    No. I'm not clear how useful a log of *just* IP addresses would be.

    Use tools like 'grep' or 'wc':
    $ sudo grep -c connection.*from.*160\.2\.36\.125 /var/log/sbbs.log
