• SSH stops working after logoff

    From Clifra@1:103/705 to All on Wed Mar 6 15:37:32 2019
    OK I have my BBS setup to use SSH on port 2222. It connects fine the 1st time but after I log off SSH will not connect on that port any longer. I receive the
    nessage the server actively refused the connection.

    SBBS.INI

    [BBS] Terminal Server
    ; Set to 'false' to disable Telnet/Rlogin/Event server:
    AutoStart=true
    ; Set to IP address of network interface (or blank for default):
    TelnetInterface=
    RLoginInterface=
    SSHInterface=
    ; TCP port for Telnet server:
    TelnetPort=23
    ; TCP port for RLogin server:
    RLoginPort=513
    ; TCP port for Secure Shell (SSH) server:
    SSHPort=2222

    I have to restart the BBS for it to work again.

    Strange. What SSH client are you using? Have you tried using a different SSH client? What does the server log output state when you're attempting those connections?

    Never mind! It is not an issue with Synchronet, it was something with Qodem, when I switches to SyncTerm the issue stopped.

    I responded to my own post. It was a problem with Qodem, when I switched to SyncTerm tyhe problem stopped. No idea why Qodem was causing this but I don't have the time to figure it out.
