    I'll do a full shutdown and restart in case some library is still cached open or something. I don't think I've done that yet.I know I can attach here but that means I have to copy it from my host to my PC and then point and click. it's easier just to ftp it directly to vert.

    Nope. I restarted everything and it's still not writing out the .good file. Open to suggestions. Would an strace help?

    If the size of the generated .good or .bad file is the same the size of the original packet, it's deleted (there's no point). This behavior has not been recently changed.
