Is your terminal set to 80x25? It needs at least 25 lines... You may want
temporarily set it to pause after the door exits so you can see anyerrors..

Ahh, should not have doubted you! SyncTerm is set to 80x25 but when I setit
80x28 it all worked. I can see that being confusing for an end user.Setting
the pause does show the message regarding terminal size but i can see auser
going and checking his terminal settings and thinking it is correct.

OK, I can set my default settings in the BBS to 25 lines or set Syncronet
80x28 and Conquest works but doing this also mucks up SlyEdit.

different sizes (at least using SyncTerm). SlyEdit should be able tohandle
sizes higher than 80x25 and still look okay.
Marisa is right. I add the following two lines to my script before calling conquest:
unset DISPLAY
stty cols 80 rows 25
different sizes (at least using SyncTerm). SlyEdit should be able to

Well if SlyEdit has a problem handling terminal sizes greater than 80x24 or 80x25 then I'd becurious to know. It seems Synchronet is able to reliably get terminal size information from SyncTerm, but I'm not sure if Synchronet is able to get accurate terminal size information from other telnet clients..

Boy I sure hope so! So long as the client supports ANSI cursor position reporting, it certainly should.
I think it is a little confising for people to choose "80x25" and yet syncterm reporting it as "80x24"....
