    AFAIK, they are left alone to be processed the next time tickit is executed... i'd have to check the code to be sure but i think that's right...

    the first stage of processing is to parse_ticfile()... the following situations result in the TIC being skipped (return false;)...

    That's something I have to configure/setup in Synchronet. I'm getting filebones for a few different networks. I had them set up in the BBS program replaced with Synchro. I'm still getting the files, I have to set them up to be
    moved to the right folders now

    try to move the file into the destination directory... the very last step process_tic() performs is to delete the TIC file so we better catch all abort scenarios before we get there... afterward, you would only have the file and no TIC to go with it...

    I was wondering if it would delete the file if there wasn't a place to move it.
    I can manually move any files til I fix it.

    Thank you!

    easy enough... define the libraries and areas in scfg... then in tickit.ini three lines are required per FDN tag...

    [FDN_TAG_HERE]
    Dir=DIRECTORY-INTERNAL_CODE_FROM_SCFG
    Links=z:n/f,z:/n/f,z:n/f

    if there is no entry for the FDN area like above, the TIC will be abandoned and both TIC and file will remain behind in the inbound...
    if the file arrives from a link that is not listed in the Links= line and/or is not found in sbbsecho.ini, the TIC will be abandoned and both will remain behind in the inbound...

    NOTE that linked systems need to also be specified in sbbsecho.ini via exec/echocfg if for nothing else but to register them as a link...

    if the file cannot be moved, the TIC is abandoned and both are left in the inbound for a later processing attempt...

    Have you tried using O and then S when reading a message?

    It'll save the message to a local file. If you are remote you can use ";get" from the transfer menu to download it.

    My Synchronet message reader has a way to save a message to the BBS machine and
    also forward a message (you can forward a message to yourself, either to your user on your BBS or to an email address).

    You could set up an "offline mail reader" like SLMR or Multimail, and
    then download all your messages via QWK packet and read/reply offline.
    The mail readers allow you to save a message.

    If you're using the Digital Distortion message reader, you can save it to the local machine (the one your BBS runs on) with ctrl-S.

    operators have the Operator commands when reading messages... saving to a file is one of those... hit the "?" when at the prompt when reading messages ;)

    or just hit "OS" (oh ess)...
