Hi Everyone,

After updating my system to 3.17 from 3.16 it seems that the messages are aborted when I try to send a mesage. I'm currently not set to use an external editor and when i type in /s to save the message I get an "Aborted" instead of the message being sent. The posting worked fine before the update and also after restoring to 3.16 the posting works again.

Any ideas as to why the update may have caused the mesage posts to be aborted?

There is an error in FSEditor, use another editor, SlyEdit for instance

I've seen some posts on that, and Digital Man had said there's a bug in the internal editor in the 3.17b release that causes it to save empty messages, which may be what's happening in your case. Digital Man said that bug has been
fixed, and updating to a nightly 3.17 build should fix it.

are you SURE you're using an external editor? because that's a known issue with 3.17b and the internal editor. The fix is to upgrade to the development version, 3.17c http://wiki.synchro.net/install:dev

It's a bug in v3.17b. Either use an external editor (e.g. fseditor.js) or upgrade to v3.17c:
