    I am having a real hard time getting anyone to respond to requests to join Fidonet, or track down any other information on other networks (such as FXnet).
    Most of the information I can find out there in the wild is woefully outdated. I have tried to contact many ZC's in FIdonet, but nada. Is Fidonet still structured and active?

    yes, fidonet is still quite structured (too much some say) and active... you can contact me at my wkitty42 account on gmail... i need your real name and your location, at least, to know which way to point you or to send your information... worst case scenario, if you are in the southeast united states, i'll add you to region 18... might do that anyway if folks are too busy elsewhere and their systems are being flown by Otto, George, or Jack...

    Yes it is. I'm posting from Fidonet right now. Someone closer to you might be
    able to advise you of the nearest NC to you. FSXnet is also very active I have infopacks on my BBSs that will get you started on FSX.
