• FidoNet Nodelist.z??

From Mortifis@1:103/705 to All on Tue Nov 10 10:39:07 2020
After 14 or so years I have finally returned to FidoNet and was wondering, since there are so many nicely 'baked in' features for Fidonet these days :), is there a automagical setting that will import updated weekly nodelists?

Thank you for your patience :-P

Yes, if you recieve your nodelist with a tic tickit will toss it to the directory of your choice and if you use the nodelist handler in your tickit.ini it'll grab the nodelist and write it out somewhere and you can use the nodelist with binkit and the nodelist browser.

You'll need to set up the receiving of daily/weekly nodediff's
(from your hub), can be automated with a TIC processor like the
    included Tickit.

Then, you can use a "handler" script to move/update the diff. See
    here:

    http://wiki.synchro.net/module:tickit#included_handler_scripts

In this day and age where nodelists are not really needed as much,
I find it easier to just manually replace the full nodelist
    (manually) every now and then...

... Gone crazy, be back later, please leave message.
