The proven best method of motivating an annoying poster to go away is to just ignore them. I know it can be difficult. And some people may take a lot longer to get bored and go away than others, but trust my experience: it's the best route.

It's not a big deal. Just keep in mind it invites "spam" into the network and some SysOps can get a little crankey about it. ;-) We don't want another web on

Oh absolutely. The last thing I would EVER want is the BBS scene to become remotely like the mainstream web and social media. In a few places, sadly, it has, but that's thankfully mostly isolated pockects... the rest of the BBS scene is clear of that and beyond the random spam attacks DoveNet isn't half bad.

Also, for context my original comment was regarding a certain regular user that many dislike; didn't realizr the context we were talking about ACTUAL random trolls on here, haha!
