  • Occasional Error Log

    I keep getting the following once in a while:

    Sat Apr 11 04:30:10 2020 athelstan.org
    web 0070 TLS ERROR 'Received TLS alert message: Handshake failure' (-15) setting session active

    I was assuming this was something to do with letsyncrypt but I can't find anything wrong so maybe I'm incorrect. How do I resolve this or is there other informaiton needed?

    Deuce would be the one to ask about that. Could just be a client issue and out of your control.

    if you are running the latest code, then this is most likely a client problem and there's nothing you can do... nothing you should do, either... you certainly don't want to weaken the security...

    either...
    you certainly don't want to weaken the security...

    I wasn't all that concerned with it, just was wondering why I get that a couple times a week or two..

    there are asshats out there always rattling every door knob they find to see if it is open or vulnerable... from our side of the screen, we cannot tell if they are using old software or if they are being asshats looking for a flaw and a way to get in... if they are legit users using old software, the only option is for them to FixTheirShit<tm> and upgrade...
