    Hello All,

    Can anyone please help Hawkeye (Ramond de Vrede) to configure a session password for BinkIT?

    BinkIT/BinkP session passwords are configured in the ctrl/sbbsecho.ini file which can be edited using a text editor or the Synchronet EchoCfg utility, under Linked Nodes->[node]->Session Password.

    This setting appears in the [node:*] section of the sbbsecho.ini file like so:

    [node:1:103/9999]
    SessionPwd = xxxxxxx

    which FTN mailer are you using?
    which FTN mailer is the remote system using?

    i ask the above because i'm aware of at least one mailer that will not send if it believes the session is not fully secure...

    i'm also aware of at least one mailer that will not send if there is no password but that doesn't appear to be the situation here since there is one apparently in use...

    Perhaps share the relevant log file messages with us so we can judge "normal behavior" or not.

    I was about to say the same thing. These types of issues generally show up in either the mailer or tosser logs.
