Tuesday, 10/10/17 6 to 9 PM at the Hulen Mall food court, at 4800 South
Hulen Street, in southwest Fort Worth, TX.

We eventually had eleven gamers at three tables, including newcomers: Elizabeth
    J, Phil J, and Malachi.

Table #1 - First, Duane’s Trailer Park Wars, which was new to the rest.

Scores: Evan B 33, Emanuel 27, Malachi 23, Duane 8. Duration: one hour and 15 minutes.

Next, Malachi’s Splendor, which was new to Evan and Duane. Emanuel had played
once, a couple of years ago.

    Scores: Malachi 16, Evan B 13, Emanuel 13, Duane 10. Duration: 44 minutes.

    Table #2 - Trevor’s Tales of the Arabian Nights. Scores (Story points / Destiny points): Elizabeth J 26 / 13, Phil J 6 / 9, Trevor 5 / 7. Duration: about 1.8 hours.

Table #3 - First, my Egizia, which was new to the rest. The game is played over
five major game turns. Turns 1 & 2 - Kellan made it his mission tonight to hoover up any and all grain cards along the Nile, if possible. By the end of turn two he had about six, while the rest of us had two, or maybe three. In effect Kellan's strategy was to try to starve his opponent's workers to death. It sure stymied me! Yet on the other hand at the end of turn one Kellan's score
was still zero, and only 7 at the end of turn two. While the rest of us had 15-18 points. For we'd been building (Sphinx, graves/obelisk, and pyramid/temple).

Turns 3 & 4 - Kellan did a good deal of catching up on building. So by the end of turn 4 the scores were closer (32-41). Yet Kellan still brought up the rear.

Turn 5 - The relative scores didn't change much. By turn end they ranged from 45 to 60. I was in the lead and Kellan was still bringing up the rear.

Then it was time for final scoring. Most of us made a few points selling stones
back to the "bank" (except Kellan, who had none left). About the same as to bonus points for grave tiles. Then the big enchilada: scoring the Sphinx cards each of us held. I think Kellan had three and two did nothing, so he added only
a few points. I had seven of them and was quite frustrated that five didn't help me a bit. Michael L had less of them, but the ones he had did pay off. Then there was Conner. He had about seven and every single one scored! So he shot way up the score track.

Final scores: Connor 93, Michael W 86, Michael L 86, Kellan 52. Duration: one hour and 43 minutes. Everyone enjoyed the game. This was my sixth game and prior to this I'd never seen a game won with less than 106 points. I think Kellan's initial strategy of scarfing up all the grain put a scoring damper on the whole game, ultimately hurting him the most.

Next, Duane’s Fluxx. Michael L, Connor, and Kellan began a game, played for about 15 minutes, then quit. No scores were calculated.

See BoardgameGeek http://www.boardgamegeek.com/ for more information on the games mentioned above. And if you're in the area on a Tuesday night feel
free to join us for a game.
