• SBBS Feature requests

From Lupine Furmen@1:103/705 to ALL on Sun Nov 24 19:37:42 2019
Don't know if any of these have been previously brought up or if I'm just missing something in the settings or help files, but a few things I would love to see in the next release of SBBS:

    - On the control panel 'statistics' window, would love to have the "Today" post
counter also include the number of posts from echomail, not just ones made from
someone logged in on my board.
    - In the Message reader, would love to be able to toggle a message as permanent
so that it is not deleted when maintanance runs.
    - Also in the message reader, would love to be able to export/save a message to
a text file, or even be able to send the message to my printer.

Just a couple of thoughts I've had since I started using SBBS.

Which message reader? There are several. If you are referring to SlyEdit, perhaps post a message directly to Nightfox

My message reader lets you save to a text file on the BBS machine. But it doesn't send the message to a printer.. Since the reader runs server-side, sending to a printer should only be available to the sysop.

    SlyEdit isn't a reader, it's an editor.

I'll make a not of it, but from my perspective "imported" messages are not the same as "posted" messages.

Mine is the Digital Distortion Message Reader. I have it for download on my BBS, and it's also in the Synchronet CVS in xtrn/DDMsgReader.

I think Digital Man posted how to save a message with the stock Synchronet reader.
