What is the best way to get my system back into the local bbs list on my
    bbs
    without creating duplicates?

At some point after converting to using sbbslist.js, my local listing is missing my own BBS, but I note that it IS in the bbs list on Vertruan.

I don't want to simply add my system back in again at the local level and have duplicates again.

There are 2 entries in the bbs list on Vertrauen:
"The Universal JoiNT BBS" and "The Universal JoiNT" both imported via SYNCDATA from Hemo@UJOINT, so if you (Hemo@UJOINT) creates a new entry and it exports to SYNCDATA, it'll overwrite the local entry here on Vertrauen automatically.

DigitalMan, I've got a similar question... When I originally
created my listing (on my own BBS) for SBBSList, I did it while
operating as my Real Name. At some point later on, I enabled
aliases for posting messages, and now my BBS knows me by the Alias
(even though I actually still log in with my Real Name). So....
when I try to update my SBBSList entry, it's not being "accepted"
by other BBSes because the "author" of the change is different
than the author of the original entry.

How can I fix this to enable myself to update my listing? Thanks.

Interesting. When I use the BBS list at Vertruan, I only see one entry. The
    Universal JoiNT BBS.

Am I understanding correctly, if I add an entry at my local level, and I plan on basically copying verbatim the entry I see on Vertruan, that this 'duplicate' import should merge with the exiting or not import?

I think the last time I started editing things at the local system level it resulted in importing as individual entries to other systems.

Assuming that if you do that and I update at my end, it will allow
the update to take place there on Vert and subsequently other
    boards.... yes.

    Thank you.

It would overwrite if it were written by the same user (Hemo@UJOINT).

lol, not interpreted the way I meant. I meant that in the past, it seemed that
everytime I was making an edit, it would export to other systems, and each edit
would import as a new individual entry, resulting in duplicates on those systems.

    all good now. thanks.
