    Hello!

I'm surprised to find an active bbs community out here. I used to run a BBS and decided to set one up again. Thanks for keeping this software alive!

I'm not sure I'll be able to find my old registration codes for my door
games. I know I registered LORD & LOD but can't remember what else.

I'll probably have some questions as I set things up. I'm not sure I will actually have any users but this brings back some good memories.

I would suggest using the BBSLink and DoorParty service to get your doors, much
easier than trying to set the doors up on your own. For the ones they support at least. I also have a bunch of them for Linux at https://SynchronetBBS.org in
    the download area...

Welcome back to the BBS community!

There is actually a resurgence and revival of the BBS scene. People are are getting tired of the ads being constantly shoved in their faces on pretty much every social media site out there and are actively looking for alternatives.

I'll probably have some questions as I set things up. I'm not sure I will actually have any users but this brings back some good memories.

Come on with the questions. I'm sure SOMEONE around here will be able to answer
    them.

And you just might be surprised about the number of users you may get.

I tend to filter out ads on a lot of web pages, so I don't really pay attention to them anymore. But I've also started using an ad blocker plugin in my web browser so the ads mostly don't even show up for me.

Thanks Marisa! LORD & LOD had documentation already on how to setup so
they were easy. I will still take a look at BBSLink & DoorParty.

I started using PI-Hole as a DNS server. That will ad block all your devices that use it for DNS. It works very well.

I run both, as not all games are available on both, and someone may want to compete with players on both...
