• gtkmonitor

From Grease@1:103/705 to All on Sat Oct 5 22:32:00 2019
Going through the different docs, and I find one on gtkmonitor. I'm
running Manjaro linux and so far, setting up this bbbs has been fun.

Anyway, it says that gtkmonitor is in the /sbbs/exec directory. Or at
least be able to call it from there. I couldn't find it, and all I
could find is in the src/sbbs3 directory. I try to run it, and it
still doen't exist. Did the make not move or install the program
    when I set up sbbs?

IIRC you have to go to each /sbbs/src/sbbs3/gtk* directory and run make

Okay, thanks, I'll give it a try!

Okay, I did that, it looked like it worked, but gtkmonitor is not in the /sbbs/exec directory. To make sure, I ran make in every directory in SBBS3. It's probably something so simple, I'm just overlooking it.

Either copy or symlink the file from gtkmonitor/*.linux.exe.* to your sbbs/exec directory or cvs-udpate this directory and then run "make symlinks" in the sbbs3/gtkmonitor directory.

If you built gtkmonitor, then the file is there, it just hasn't been copied or symlinked to your sbbs/exec directory.

I knew it was something I missed. I kept doing make install , but it would say there is nothing to install. So I left out the symlink dealio.

when you run make in gtk* dirs the exec is in something like gcc.release ... copy that(those) executable(s) to /sbbs/exec or symlink them

I believe DM recently update the main make file (make RELEASE=1) to build and install the gtk*
