My ham radio, BBS, and square dance related hobbies will be in
REDUCED mode for a bit, because of the following reasons:

1) My Mom, Betty Stout, passed away peacefully, this morning. I
have started preparations for her funeral, but I do not know the
details at this time.

2) I am having urinary bladder stone surgery on Monday, August 12,
and will be out of commission for at least 2 days.

I will be doing my ham radio traffic nets as a diversion, when
I can, as I have far more on my plate now, than I had before. But,
the surgery has to come before my Mom's funeral, or I will be in
mortal danger.

have all the wonderful memories that no one can take away. I start plans
for her funeral tomorrow morning. My brother is an emotional basket case
right now.

The surgery went well. They blasted the stone to smithereens, then
irrigated the bladder to flush it out. I had burning on urination for
about 6 of the 12 hours my kidneys and bladder were in overtime mode,
and I was filling one of those male urinals on an hourly basis. I'm just thankful I didn't have to have a catheter. Yet, I got no sleep at all
last night.

basket case emotionally right now. It hasn't hit me yet, but it probably
will soon enough...now that my urinary bladder stone surgery is behind
me. That went well...but combine that with drinking 10 pitchers of ice
water, then a massive dose of Lasix, I was filling up the male urinal on
an hourly basis. As a result, I got no sleep at all last night.
