• DDMsgReader: In the theme configuration file, use a : as the separator

I recommend putting the string literals in double-quotes. Some editors automatically remove trailing whitespace when editing a line or saving a text file and when that happens, your space at the end will be silently lost. The quoted string would prevent that from happening.

These lines won't be edited by an editor.. These are basically prompt strings for my message reader to output to the user (similar to the strings in text.dat), and in particular, these are prompts used for searching. These will be outputted to the user when doing a search, and I think it looks better with a space after the prompt. For instance:Enter the search text:

This is a configuration file, right? One that a sysop could edit with a text editor? A text editor like Notepad++ or Geany that can be configured to trim trailing whitespace? Do you see the problem now?

Yes, this is a configuration file that a sysop would edit with a text editor. I do often use Notepad++, but have never seen an option to trim trailing whitespace; I'm not sure what option you're referring to and haven't had such a problem?

You had previously suggested using a : instead of the = to preserve trailing whitespace, which is why I went with this.

Right. And now I'm suggesting you enclose the string with trailing white-space in double-quotes as well. See section on "Quotes" here: https://wiki.synchro.net/config:ini_files#string_literals
