• Custom Main Menu

From Jim Haight@1:322/757 to All on Thu Mar 4 19:31:29 2021
I created an ansi Main Menu using TheDraw but I cannot simply call it Main.ans anymore. Either I have to name it differently or change the way it is called. What is everyone else doing?

Why? Are you talking about the actual menu the user sees or the name of the file?

This is the configuration straight out of the box:

    1. Menu Number : 6
    2. Menu titles : Main Menu
    3. Help files : Main@S/Main@S
    4. Menu prompt : Timeleft: [%TL] %LF Main Menu

    etc., etc.,

What happens if you change help files to just Main...?

Meaning you can have "MAIN.ANS/.ASC" or "MAIN50.ANS/.ASC", "MAIN250.ANS/.ASC" etc .. and it will display based on sec. level if a number is after MAIN.

... Use DEVICE = EXXON to screw up your environment.

Actually that worked. I already made the menu as an ansi file and named it main.ans. This is pretty standard with most software but it didn't work until I just changed the help files to Main.
