• This echo

From Björn Felten@2:203/2 to All on Mon Nov 20 00:50:28 2023
As one of the oldest Fidonet sysops, I can see how different echoes evolve over the decades. And this echo is special.

It used to be a place, where intelligent people could discuss various political issues, on a global scale. We came from all over the world here, and up until circa 9/11 we had a great time.

Then slowly members from a certain country, tried to take over. They tried to shove their twisted opinions on the rest of us. Those that would not budge, were dismissed as "Euro trash shit pig pacifist pussies" from "small piss ant third world countries".

So more and more of the original echo members left, leaving only the new bullies.

And now it seems to be even worse. Half a dozen brainwashed persons, that of course never will admit to having been conned, have totally taken over the echo.

Sad. I'll miss this echo, where I once upon a time could exchange ideas from all around the world. I just hope that the people that destroyed this echo will grow up, and emerge from their Mom's basement and finally see the how incredibly stupid they have been.

That is, if the USA will ever recover from the massive brain drain that the GOP had to create in order for them to maintain power, when they really had not a single idea about how to MAGA again.

NOTE: The A in Again means back to Madison Square Garden, 20th of February 1939. Just in case you haven't realized it yet.

    --
Conning people is easy. You just need to overcome their intelligence. But convincing people they've been conned is much harder. You need to overcome their pride.

Yeah, I still watch this echo every now and again (I only got into the BBS scene back in 2018), but most of the political discussion I see anymore just doesn't align with my views and I have found to be demonstrably wrong. I don't usually argue politics, especially since my views are so far from the right vs left paradaigm, that arguing them is just a waste of energy. There have been times where I have had to put my foot down hard, but those are the times where law starts to overstep its bounds.

Over the years, I have found that I am unable to change the minds of people whose minds are already made up. If you genuinely want to know my views, we can discuss them, but if not, then I just won't bring mine up.

But when you disagree with an American, you often trash them for being from an inferior country. Isn't that part of having a great time?

Could it be that it is Biden and his backwards policies is what is causing or has caused the cynical commentary of the Right?

We are sick of his shenanigans, and his racist VP where there always must be an element of inequity that is mentioned either that or her speeches are geared and even spoken slowly as written for a second grade reading level. Still she is imbecile at any measure. I called it "Biden" when he began, I said he was going to be a train wreck and he has been this and a whole lot more in the negative.

Now America is waking up, they can see what I (as well as others) have been stating for months, more importantly the polls show of his disapproval on many subjects and topics of his (Biden's) failed administration. Hello Greg,

Sad. I'll miss this echo, where I once upon a time could exchange
ideas from all around the world. I just hope that the people that
destroyed this echo will grow up, and emerge from their Mom's basement
and finally see the how incredibly stupid they have been.

The Jeff Thiele's or the Bill McGarrity's of the world never do seem to have
enough juice to go the distance. They simply fade into the archives, never to be seen again. Sorta like the former great ratings
    of CNN. It's history.

Most folks have moved on from CNN and now watch the Emmy Award-winning
Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC, as she is also the #1 New York Times
bestsellng author of Drift and Blowout, as well as the New York Times bestselling co-author of Bag Man.

She is a very smart lesbian, having received a bachelor's degree from
Stanford University (its mascot is a tree) and earned her doctorate at
Oxford Umoversity (in England, the same place where Bill Clinton went
to school for his Rhodes Scholarship). She lives in New York City (a
great place for lesbians - and liberals) and Massachusetts (another
great place for lesbians - and liberals) with her partner, artist
Susan Mikula (a lesbian who can draw, paint, and do body sculptures).

It's not our fault for the sour grapes that you're experiencing.

You do not understand. You really do not understand. In fact, you
haven't got a clue. So let me fill you in. Bj”rn could, if he wanted
to. But doing so would be far too painful for him. So, I'll keep it
short, and cut to the chase.

Last year a very tragic event happened in Sweden. An extremist right
wing party took over and Bj”rn has never been the same since. Not sure
if he will ever recover. The leader of this extremist far right wing
party was so alarmed that he decided to have a nicer person act as his spokesman so as not to freak out anybody else.

And now, an election is looming in the Netherlands. This is the place
where criminals from around the world are brought in so they can be
put on trial before an international court of justice. And according
to the latest polls, far right wing extremist Geert Wilders is ahead,
with his party likely to win. How did this happen? The current premier
got tired of being premier and simply quit after being there for 13
years. So Wilders decided to grab the golden ring and become Premier
    himself.

With Sweden having gone fascist, along with Spain, and Hungary, and
Italy (the same one that gave us Benito Mussolini), with the Dutch
soon to be joining them, you have to allow Bj”rn some room to cry.

Otherwise, you simply are not human.

So please. Do not remind him that Donald Trump and three other
Republicans are ahead of Joe Biden in the polls ...

Could it be that it is Biden and his backwards policies is what is causing or has caused the cynical commentary of the Right?

Bj”rn is Swedish. As such, he has enough to complain about with
Sweden's current far right extremist policies.

We are sick of his shenanigans, and his racist VP where there always must be
an element of inequity that is mentioned either that or her speeches are geared and even spoken slowly as written for a second grade reading level.

In this country you have the right to vote. But not all citizens who
have the right to vote are able to vote due to voter suppression laws,
which exist in several states. This is how the far right rigs electios
so that their own candidates have a leg up on the opposition. All done
    in "legal" ways.

Still she is imbecile at any measure. I called it "Biden" when he began, I said he was going to be a train wreck and he has been this and a whole lot more in the negative.

The Biden administration has been a success from the get-go. Which
explains the reaction from Trump & Co. (which lost the election by
    over 7 million popular votes).

Now America is waking up, they can see what I (as well as others) have been
stating for months, more importantly the polls show of his disapproval on many subjects and topics of his (Biden's) failed administration.

With full employment and inflation now under control, the Biden
administration is doing quite well, and preparing to be even better
    than any administration in history.

They also show that I (as well as others, who are on the right) were right and you and yours have been very wrong.

Harry Truman was proven right in 1948, his Republcan challenger
proven wrong. The upcoming election seems to be deja vu all over
    again.

"Talent on loan from God" - of course WE on the right have not forgotten our
    teachings from our Maha Rushie.

Harry "Give 'em hell" Truman loved showing the newspaper headlines
to the press when they showed his challenger winning the election. :)

He lives on in all of us who are the Conservative Right.

We have a statue of Huey P. Long in front of our state capital.
What do you have in front of your state capital?

We also have a statue of Andrew Jackson (on his horse) in front
of St. Louis Basilica. Everybody was so impressed we made his victory
over the British in the war of 1812 a national holiday.

To put a finer point on it, We are not going anywhere.

Having an unconvicted felon on the ballot for president is bad
enough. Having a convicted felon on the ballot will be untenable.
Thus assuring re-election for Joe Biden/Kamala Harris.

So you can pine for the good old days all you want.

The best is yet to come.

Grab yourself a steaming cup of O'boy Hot Chocolate and you will feel better.

Most folks have moved on from CNN and now watch the Emmy Award-winning Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC,

Rachel Maddow Show is 41st overall on TV, watched by a total number of 2,759,000 people (0.88% rating, down from last week) as of the daily audience measurement on October 2, 2023.

    from 02/15/2022
According to ratings data compiled by Nielsen, for the week ending February 13th, The Rachel Maddow Show with fill-in host Ali Velshi delivered an average total audience of 1.551 million viewers, down 26 percent from the previous week. Among viewers 25-54, the demographic group most valued by advertisers, Maddow drew 177,000 viewers, representing a 24 percent drop from the previous week.

Here you can see a LIVE ratings chart for the Rachel Maddow show. https://ustvdb.com/networks/msnbc/shows/rachel-maddow/

The Rachel Maddow Show is a U.S. television program broadcast on MSNBC since Monday, September 8, 2008. Rachel Maddow Show is currently on MSNBC and 70th overall on TV, watched by a total number of 2,109,000 people (0.67% rating, down -17% from last week) as of the daily audience measurement on November 20, 2023.

Rachel Maddow states "I am going to take a little bit of time off from this show, Maddow told viewers in January before going out on leave.
"I'm nervous about all this. It's a change in my life. But it's all for the good." It is, however, not all good for MSNBC.

    She has been heckled too
The heckler said that Maddow was at the event to get "Israel wrong, yet again, just like you got 2016 wrong."

Her show is on the skids.
    Why? It's obvious...
she gave her audience false hope, with her glee and false information that Donald Trump was guilty of Russian collusion and she also brought into and peddled Hilary's basket of deplorables concept as well as the Russian dossier that Hillary paid for. None of it was remotely true.

Last year a very tragic event happened in Sweden. An extremist right

What is so extremist regarding the rethinking open borders?
The statement by Jimmie Akesson speaks volumes.
"It was time to make Sweden good again."

Bj”rn is Swedish. As such, he has enough to complain about with
Sweden's current far right extremist policies.
There is nothing extremist from walking back from policies which have doomed a nation.

Then perhaps it is time to take a hiatus, just like Rach, from U.S. Politics.
